New Performance Line of Programmable LED Drivers from NMB

NMB adds to the LED programmable driver family by introducing the new 10~20W Performance Line LED drivers. The Performance Line delivers a single programmable driver that offers output current ranges of 350mA to 2A, 0~10V low voltage dimming and digital PWM dimming function, 130K hours life time at 40°C, as well as RoHS and WEEE Certification.

Chatsworth, CA ‐ Sep 12, 2013 – NMB announced today the release of the new Performance Line of programmable LED driver. The new Performance Line of drivers introduces a unique set of tools to enhance usability, flexibility, scalability and ease of use.

The new programming interface includes a dimming feature that offers a 0~10V analog dimming as well as a PWM digital option, an off-state in stand-by mode is also implemented in this design. The system protection package goes beyond the available standard requirements. It offers automatic 5s short circuit re-start protection, and includes a two system level protection, where by the designer can lower the maximum ambient temperature as well as the maximum operating voltage to match his application requirements. A brightness compensation feature and diagnostics tool completes this package.

The Performance Line is IP20 rated, features a start time of 1 second and is 90% efficient at full load.

NMB Reveals New Part Numbering System for Cooling Fans

A new part numbering system introduced by NMB, easily identifies the size, width and voltage of AC and DC cooling fans and blowers. The new part numbering system applies only to new manufacturing and new designs, and will not affect the part numbers of products currently on the market.

Chatsworth, CA ‐ June 20, 2013 – NMB Technologies Corporation, a Minebea Group Company, revealed today the adoption of a new part numbering system for their AC and DC axial cooling fans, as well as DC blowers.

The new part numbering system eliminates the difficulty of deciphering the size, thickness and even voltage of NMB’s cooling fans. It immediately identifies the most important parameters necessary for an engineer to select the right cooling fan for his application. For example, NMB’s new part number 12038VA24 will represent a 120mm size fan, 38mm thick, V series, ball bearings, 24 volts.

The company announces that the new part numbering system will be used only on new designs and new manufacturing, and will not touch the legacy part numbers that are currently in the sales channel.

NMB Cooling Fans UV/Wet Location Approved

UV / Wet location rating approval has been obtained by NMB for various cooling fans, including the AC axial 4715HS Series, and the 5915PC Series. UV / Wet Location rated cooling fans offer additional protection when outdoor application environment is of great concern.

Chatsworth, CA ‐ June 6, 2013 NMB Technologies Corporation, a Minebea Group Company, announced today the availability of UV / Wet Location rated cooling fans for OEM applications. The AC axial 4715HS Series and the 5915PC Series are already available potted, and are now UV/Wet location approved. These cooling fans are suitable for unprotected locations, such as outdoor applications, where the cooling fans receive direct contact with rain, snow or excessive moisture, fog or ocean spray.

NMB already offers a variety of AC and DC cooling fans available potted and IP rated, however, many OEM applications require a thermal solution with a higher level of protection. UV/ Wet location approval represents an added advantage to the OEM when the application environment is a concern.

Wet location approvals, under UL-507, involve testing for a variety of environmental situations, including water spray, humidity conditioning, sealing compound, and thermal cycling, as well as ultraviolet radiation testing (exposure to sunlight) for UV approval.

NMB Introduces New 22~40W Programmable LED Driver

The smart design of the new 22~40W LED driver from NMB, wraps cleverly around a brilliant programmable current feature, one single driver covers output currents of 700 to 2200 mA, a 0~10 low voltage dimming function, IP 66 rating, high efficiency and comprehensive protection against short circuit, overvoltage, overload and over temperature.

Chatsworth, CA – Jan 31, 2013 – Flexibility and a smart design mark the introduction of the new 22~40W LED Programmable driver from NMB. One single driver, designed to cover output currents of 700 to 2200 mA. A simple programming function that offers the user the ability to program the driver’s output current, based on specific requirements of their application, a 0~10 low voltage dimming feature, as well as IP66 and comprehensive protection, all surround the new design.

The flexibility of this design is the ability to re-program the driver to adapt to changes in design requirements. Utilizing the practical programming kit (available separately), which includes a clip on programming unit and a USB cable, the desired output current levels can be easily preset or adjusted as your application develops. New Cooling Fan Series from NMB offer High Efficiency and High Performance

July 31, 2012 – Chatsworth, CA – NMB Technologies Corporation, a Minebea Group Company, has released a new generation of high power, high efficiency series of cooling fans and impellers for demanding applications such as storage and server rack systems, routers and switches, base stations, modular data systems, as well as medical and industrial applications.

The new R and F Series of high power cooling fans achieve new benchmarks for airflow performance and are the most efficient fans in the market today. Some of the design highlights of these new series include a new high efficiency 3 phase motor designed with NMB developed magnet materials. Using advanced modeling techniques for the airfoil design has resulted in this new series of cooling fans and impellers that are best in class in aerodynamic performance.

The R Series offers two sizes, the R150 as a 150mm X 172mm X 51mm and the R172, a 172mm X 51mm DC cooling fan.
