Duties and Responsibilities

  1. New Business Development – Generate and develop new business accounts by executing sales and product strategies.
  2. Account Management – Manage existing accounts to ensure continued growth.
  3. Identify and Respond to Customer Needs – Identify customer needs, assess potential application of company products and offer design solutions.
  4. Technical Knowledge Application – Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support, build and develop sales.
  5. Product Development – Produce information and provide customer feedback to identify future products and product development.
  6. Relationship Development/External – Develop solid and long term influential relationships with key decision makers at the customers.
  7. Training – Provide product technical training to customers as required.
  8. Budget Responsibility – Effectively manage expenses and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
  9. Reporting Communications Internal/External – Provide timely and frequent written and verbal reporting on customer interaction and application details as required (including customer contact reporting in SalesForce.com).
  10. Monthly Reporting – Prepare and submit a monthly summary activity report to supervisor.
  11. Travel – Travel required up to 80%; majority will be domestic with some international.
  12. Other – Perform other duties as related to the job function as required.

Job Qualification Requirements

  1. Bachelors Degree required, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  2. Minimum 3 years sales and/or engineering experience
  3. 3 Years plus experience working in the specified industry or industries and/or with the specified product(s)
  4. Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and Power Point; familiar with AutoCad, SolidWorks, ProE a plus but not required
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills and demonstrated experience communicating technical information
