Environmental Philosophy

As environmental damage increases and the need for environmental preservation grows, Minebea believes that we must develop a positive consciousness to preserve our treasured environment. Minebea’s Environmental Philosophy describes how the Company contributes to the preservation and improvement of the environment.

2010 Minebea Group Environmental Report

Minebea recognizes environmental protection as a key management goal. To that end, Minebea has issued Environmental Reports since 2003 to disclose the activity, which as a corporation, undertakes to protect the environment.

Green Procurement 

Green Procurement plays an important role in facilitating ongoing compliances with restrictions on hazardous substances and management, such as those specific in the EU’s RoHS directive and REACH regulations. In addition to setting forth procurement guidelines aimed at ensuring legal compliance and customer satisfaction, as well as at reducing the use of substances that create a negative impact to the environment, Minebea Group gives priority to procuring environment-friendly materials and parts from suppliers that actively work to preserve the environment.

Development of Environment-Friendly Products 

Minebea’s continuous improvement philosophy is clearly seen in the development of new ways to manufacture products keeping in mind the environment.
