The new LED Module with Ultra Thin Lens technology has been designed to provide a higher quality color uniformity in a significantly smaller structure when compared with conventional lenses. Available in 12 models and offered in a 12, 25, and 55 degree beam, these models support four different color temperatures, achieve over 90% efficiency and offer a rated lifetime of 40,000 hours. This new ultra-thin Fresnel lens, with 1mm thickness, provides the platform for a low profile design, and is ideal for downlight, trac and decorative lighting applications.

What operating systems are supported?

The Progamming Utility will run on Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7.

Where can I get the Programming Utility?

You can download it from the nmbtc.com/lighting/install page.

How do I program the CLSD Series of Dimmable Drivers?

Once you have the CLSD004 or the CLSD005 Programming Kit you can then refer to the Programming Instructions.

Where can I get additional Programming Kits?

You can order the Programming Kit (CLSD004 or CLSD005) from an authorized NMB Distributor. Please check inventory status at our Distributors at “www.nmbtc.com/lighting”.our parts listing to see our authorized Distributors.

How do I connect the dimming feature on the driver?

Please refer to the wiring diagram on the Dimming Information page.

What do I do with the dimming wires if I do not plan to use the dimming feature?

Cover the exposed wire ends with insulation tape.

The Programming Application will not open on my system. What is the cause of this problem?

Please ensure that you are using a supported operating system, and that the setup installation has been completed successfully.

Why do I need to download the Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5?

The Programming Utility requires Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 to run.

Why do I need to disconnect power while the programming the driver?

Although the CLSD000 Driver Series includes circuit protection, for safety reasons and to ensure no damage to the driver, it should be disconnected from the power source before programming.

When I connect the Programming Box(CLSD004 or CLSD005) I get an error message stating that “the application failed to install properly.” What do I do?

Please ensure that you are using a supported operating system, and that the setup installation has been completed successfully.

When I connect the Programming Box(CLSD004 or CLSD005) I get an error message saying that “the hardware failed to install properly.” What do I do?

Using the Unistall Routine, uninstall the Driver. Then reinstall the Driver making sure the Programming Box is not connected.

Do I need to reattach the tape strip over the hole in the driver after I have finished programming?

Yes you should reinstall the port cover following programming of the Driver. If your tape has been damaged or lost, use any commercially available tape.

With which resolution can I program the LED current?

0.01A (10mA)

Can I program the driver more than once?

Yes, it can always be reprogrammed, as long as AC power is not connected during programming.

How accurate is the LED current compared to the programmed current level?

Nominal : ±10%

What is the output voltage at no load?

The no-load voltage (maximum voltage) is located on the product label and CLSD series Data Sheet

Is there any de-rating at high operating temperatures?

Unlike many of our competitors, the CLSD001 does not have a power de-rating when operating above 50°C.

Can I use a resistor or potentiometer for setting the dimming level?

Yes

It the CLSD Series a Constant Voltage or Constant Current device?

Constant Current.

Standard Line Dimming Information

Dimming is achieved by applying a voltage (Vdim) between the Purple (0V-10V) and Gray (GND) wires on the LED Driver.

This chart illustrates the Current and Voltage output ranges capable for every CLSD001 Series LED Driver.

For example, the CLSD001A Driver shows an output Current range from 350mA to 750mA, by utilizing the dimming feature, the Output Current can be brought down to a minimum of 0.12A (35% of 350mA).

The Dimming Ratio chart below illustrates how the different values for Vdim affect the Output Current.


If the Programming Box (CLSD004) is used to program the CLSD001A to 350mA (output current range for this driver is from 350mA to 750mA) and 3V is applied between the Purple and Gray wires, the driver will output 55% of the set Output Current. Therefore, if this driver is using a 120V input, the output current will be 55% of 350mA, which equates to 0.19A.
